CTO as a Service

External technology leadership, without the cost of an in-house CTO

Someone who decides your technology with judgment and a three-year vision, connecting technical decisions with business goals. It combines with our managed support, so you cover both the day-to-day and the strategy with a single point of contact.

What it is

Technology leadership, in business terms

A part-time external CTO (chief technology officer) who helps management decide what to invest in and what not to, which vendors make sense, how to reduce risk and where the company's technology is heading. It's not support: it's decisions. And because we also run your day-to-day, those decisions actually get executed — they don't stay in a report.

Who it's for

Where it adds the most

No in-house tech lead

The company runs, but no one decides technology with judgment or a medium-term view.

Prioritising investment

Management needs to know where to invest first and what can wait, with independent judgment.

Coordinating vendors & contracts

Several vendors, licenses and renewals worth ordering and negotiating with volume.

Growth

The company is growing and systems and processes fall short; they need ordering before they hold you back.

Security & continuity

Improving security and making sure that, if something fails, the business keeps running.

Cloud, automation & AI

Soberly assessing what cloud, automation or AI bring in your case — and what's just noise.

Support and leadership

What support covers and what leadership adds

Operational support (the day-to-day)

Resolving incidents, helping users, maintaining devices, licenses, backups and monitoring. Keeping everything working.

Technology leadership (the direction)

Priorities, budget, risks, vendors and roadmap. Deciding with judgment what gets done, when and why.

What's included

What it means in practice

Technology assessment

Understanding how your IT is set up today: systems, vendors, risks and weak points.

Three-year roadmap

An ordered plan of what to improve and in what order, aligned with business goals.

IT investment prioritisation

Where to invest first and where it isn't needed, with vendor-independent judgment.

Vendors & licensing

Review and coordination of strategic vendors, with access to the main distributors.

Reporting & management follow-up

Executive reporting (ManageEngine) and follow-up meetings so management sees what's happening and improving.

Coordination with the rest of IT

Leadership coordinates with support, security, cloud and communications: a single plan.

The exact scope is tailored to each company after the initial assessment.

How we work

We start in days, with a proven method

We start with an assessment to understand your situation, agree a roadmap and review it in regular follow-up meetings with management. You get an assigned point of contact and a team with several specialisms (systems, security, networks, cloud and 3CX) behind it, everything documented so nothing depends on one person.

FAQ

Common questions

How is it different from IT support?
Support handles the day-to-day (incidents, users, devices). Technology leadership decides the direction: priorities, budget, risks, vendors and roadmap. The usual approach is to combine both with a single point of contact.
Does it replace my in-house IT team?
Not necessarily. If you have an in-house team, we coordinate with it and add the leadership and specialisms you're missing. If you don't, we cover both the day-to-day and the strategy.
Is it on-site or remote?
Both. We work remotely and on-site when it helps, based in Badalona (Barcelona) with nationwide coverage.
How do you get started?
We start with a conversation and an assessment of your situation. From there we propose scope and a roadmap. It starts within days.
How much does it cost?
It depends on scope: company size, number of users and sites, current state of your IT and the leadership dedication you need. After the assessment we give you a tailored proposal, with no surprises.

Shall we talk about your technology?

No commitment. A first conversation to understand your situation and suggest the next step.
